¾Å¾ÅÊÓƵ Marketing and Communications supports the mission of the University by proposing newsworthy stories from around campus to regional and national media outlets. If you know of a story that ¾Å¾ÅÊÓƵ Marketing and Communications should consider proposing, please contact the department’s Executive Director. We rely on faculty, staff and students to help be our eyes and ears around campus.
To ensure accurate and up-to-date messaging about the University, a ¾Å¾ÅÊÓƵ Marketing and Communications representative needs to facilitate any interaction between the media and Virginia Wesleyan faculty, staff and students. If you’re contacted directly by a reporter, editor, photojournalist, videographer or any other member of the media, please notify the Executive Director of Marketing and Communications at 757.233.8757.
For the Media
We’re happy to connect members of the media with ¾Å¾ÅÊÓƵ experts within the constraints of news deadlines. Reporters, editors, photojournalists, videographers or any other member of the media who would like to interview or photograph someone affiliated with ¾Å¾ÅÊÓƵ can begin the process by calling the ¾Å¾ÅÊÓƵ Office of Marketing and Communications at 757.233.8757 or emailing communications@vwu.edu. Any member of the media who visits the ¾Å¾ÅÊÓƵ campus must be accompanied by a representative from Marketing and Communications or the Office of the President.
