Batten Honors College ¾Å¾ÅÊÓÆµs
Twenty selected students are awarded full-tuition scholarships per year.  In addition, another 20 students are selected to receive a nearly three-quarters tuition scholarship. ¾Å¾ÅÊÓÆµ Funding for First-Year Students and Transfers (Merit Based)
Virginia Wesleyan offers academic scholarships to all admitted first-year and transfer students. Once you’ve submitted your application and all credentials (First-Year Students: High School Transcripts; Transfers: Official Transcripts from previous institutions), our Enrollment Counselors will evaluate your submission and send a scholarship offer with your ¾Å¾ÅÊÓÆµ acceptance letter. For first-year students, scholarships are renewable for a total of eight semesters. Transfer scholarships are renewable until graduation requirements are met, but will not exceed eight semesters. All scholarships are subject to the student meeting the requirements for satisfactory academic progress.

Hampton Roads College Success ¾Å¾ÅÊÓÆµ
¾Å¾ÅÊÓÆµ and Tidewater Community College have been good neighbors serving Coastal Virginia for many years. In recognition of this relationship, Virginia Wesleyan has established a scholarship program intended to celebrate academic success and shared hometown values. Hampton Roads College Success ¾Å¾ÅÊÓÆµ recipients will receive a scholarship valued at $10,000 per academic year. Need-Based Grants
Need-based grants require completion of the . Students with demonstrated need and enrolled full time are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.


Virginia Wesleyan Coastal Advantage ¾Å¾ÅÊÓÆµ
The Coastal Advantage ¾Å¾ÅÊÓÆµ is offered to accepted Virginia residents from families with household incomes under $100,000. Coastal Advantage covers all but $2,500 of ¾Å¾ÅÊÓÆµ tuition for eligible first-year students. To cover the remaining $2,500, students can participate in ¾Å¾ÅÊÓÆµ's Work and Learn Program or explore various financial aid options, which may also cover university fees. Coastal Advantage students can maintain their eligibility until graduation, provided they maintain good academic standing and meet the program's criteria.


The Robert Noyce Teacher ¾Å¾ÅÊÓÆµ Program
The Robert Noyce Teacher ¾Å¾ÅÊÓÆµ Program provides funding to institutions of higher education to provide scholarships, stipends, and programmatic support to recruit and prepare STEM majors and professionals to become K-12 teachers. The program seeks to increase the number of K-12 teachers with strong STEM content knowledge who teach in high-need school districts.

Marlins IMPACT ¾Å¾ÅÊÓÆµ Program
The Marlins IMPACT ¾Å¾ÅÊÓÆµ Program provides need-based scholarships for academically talented undergraduates majoring in STEM disciplines at ¾Å¾ÅÊÓÆµ in a national effort to increase numbers of students graduating in STEM disciplines and joining the U.S. STEM workforce.

DeFord Scholars (Virginia Beach Tuition Promise)
Students who declare an interest in teaching upon entering ¾Å¾ÅÊÓÆµ can receive a scholarship from the University to cover the remaining gaps in undergraduate tuition (up to $36,550) after the VTAG, Pell Grant, and other scholarships/benefits are applied. Students who are not Pell eligible must participate in the Work & Learn Program or pay $2,500 a year toward their tuition. The student must be a resident of Virginia and a VTAG recipient.


Beverly Scholars (Performing Arts ¾Å¾ÅÊÓÆµ)
Students audition as an opportunity to meet with faculty members in their areas of interest, show off their talent as an artist, and learn about how they can be involved in the arts as part of their Virginia Wesleyan experience. These auditions allow you to be considered for arts-specific scholarships at Virginia Wesleyan.


Future Marlin Grant
Students referred by alumni that decide to enroll will receive a $1,000 annual grant applicable to tuition. Their award will be renewable through four years of study, assuming satisfactory academic progress toward their degree.

 


¾Å¾ÅÊÓÆµ Global ¾Å¾ÅÊÓÆµ
International students who enroll in the traditional day program at ¾Å¾ÅÊÓÆµ to complete a bachelor's degree will receive a merit based scholarship valued at a minimum of $21,000 per year.


Dollars for United Methodist Scholars
Virginia Wesleyan will match a local United Methodist Church's ¾Å¾ÅÊÓÆµ of $1,000 offered to a member of your congregation enrolling as a first-time, full-time student for the upcoming academic year. The Wesleyan Dollars for the United Scholars encourages United Methodist students to seek a quality education at Virginia Wesleyan by reducing tuition by $2,000. Minister's Sons and Daughters Grant
Awarded to dependents of ministers who are members of the Virginia United Methodist Conference. Grant and other ¾Å¾ÅÊÓÆµ funding will cover up to one-half tuition.


United Methodist Higher Education Foundation
The United Methodist Higher Education Foundation awards scholarships to deserving students across the country. Each year, the foundation distributes over $2 million to more than 1,000 students attending over 100 United Methodist-related institutions of higher learning.
